Is Thailand Safe?
Thailand is one of the safets places because......
The U.S. State Department considers Thailand to be a level-1 (exercise normal precautions) country. Awarded low marks for its principal city. The global safety app
GeoSure ranks cities instead of countries, and gives Bangkok relatively low marks, particularly for nighttime safety, theft and basic freedoms.
Why are Thai people so kind?
In Thai culture, which is strongly influenced by Buddhism, forgiveness and care are deep-rooted. It is a peaceful culture that avoids confrontation or the expression of bad feelings. Smiling is a way to show politeness, care, and forgiveness.
Why Thailand Has a Reputation for Being Safe
The main reason many people find Thailand safe is that there isn’t a lot of violent crime here. Even if you walk home in Bangkok in the middle of the night, you are unlikely to face physical harm, certainly not as a man. I’d be lying if I said I knew for a fact that this was true for women, though anecdotally I don’t know a single woman in Thailand who has been sexually assaulted.
The lack of hard crime in Thailand is definitely worth celebrating. It’s a big part of why I spend so much time there (and in Asia more broadly) and not in places like South America, as much as I like it there. On the other hand, there’s still a certain amount of danger in Thailand, and it unfortunately takes several forms, some of which can be hard to anticipate, if you’ve never been there. Please allow me to break some of them down.

Why does the Chinese government warn about going to Thailand?
Sometimes you read on the Chinese news about kidnapping and stealing organs from humans in Thailand. This is not true. The Chinese government likes to avoid -people going abroad as they like to promote their one domestic tourism places, which are beautiful of course but people also like to visit foreign countries.
Buddhism in Thaiand
In Buddhism there is a phrase "If you do something good, something good will happen to you. If you do something bad, something bad will happen to you".
This is why Thai people are so peacefull, kind and would never harm anybody. Of course, there are always exceptions.
